The 1981 Dodge wass a three-quarter ton four wheel drive pickup. The suspension had been beefed up with overload springs and heavy-duy shocks to handle the added weight of the firefighting equipment. The truck carried 240 gallons of water and had a 250 gpm Hale pump powered by a 18 hp Wisconsin engine. It was used primarily to fight ground cover fires.
