Saturday, April 30th - At app. 16:55, Tarkington firefighters were dispatched to a report of a MVA on FM787 at CR2176. TVFD responded with Engine 52 with Unit 502, Unit 503, Engine 51 with Unit 501 and two firefighters, and Booster 51 with three firefighters to find two vehicles involved, with one vehicle on its roof.
At app. 19:25, Tarkington First Responders were dispatched to SH321 just north of CR309. TVFD responded with Unit 503 and Booster 51 with Unit 501 and one firefighter.
Wednesday, April 27th - At app. 2:05, Tarkington VFD was dispatched to a report of a utility pole on fire on CR2185. TVFD responded with Engine 52 with Unit 502 and Booster 51 with Unit 503 and two firefighters.
Monday, April 25th - At app. 18:10, Tarkington First Responders were dispatched to CR2246. TVFD responded with Unit 503 and Squad 51 with Unit 502 and one firefighter.
Saturday, April 23rd - At app. 18:15, TVFD was dispatched to a report of a brush fire on CR2176. TVFD responded with Booster 51 with two firefighters and Tanker 57 with Unit 503 and one firefighter to find app. 1/2-acre on fire.
Friday, April 22nd - At app. 15:45, Tarkington First Responders were dispatched to CR2269. Squad 51 with Unit 503 and one firefighter.
At app. 19:45, TVFD was dispatched to a report of a mobile home fire on CR2936. As units responded, Dispatch advised that the fire was actually a brush fire threatening three structures. TVFD responded with Booster 51 with Unit 503 and two firefighters, Engine 52 with Unit 502, Engine 51 with Unit 504 and four firefighters, Squad 51 with Unit 505 and one firefighter, Tanker 57 with two firefighters, and Tanker 51 with two firefighters to find app. 1/2-acre on fire caused by a cutting torch.
Wednesday, April 20th - At app. 10:45, Tarkington VFD was dispatched to CR2234-1 for a report of a snake in a residence. TVFD responded with Squad 51 with Unit 501 and two firefighters.
At app. 12:55, TVFD was dispatched for a report of a possible airplane crash app. three miles east of the Cleveland Municipal Airport. It was reported that the FAA had lost contact with a small plane in that area. TVFD responded with Unit 501 and Engine 51 with three firefighters, but were cancelled when Dispatch reported that the FAA had regained contact with the plane.
Monday, April 18th - At app. 16:40, Tarkington firefighters were dispatched to CR2800 for a report of a brush fire. TVFD responded with Booster 51 with Unit 505 and two firefighters, Tanker 57 with two firefighters, and Engine 52 with Unit 502 and one firefighter to find a small fire started by a trash fire. Liberty County Sheriff's Office issued a citation to the property owner for violating the burn ban.
Sunday, April 17th - At app. 1:15, TVFD was dispatched back to CR2176 for a report of a rekindle. TVFD responded with Unit 502, Unit 503, Booster 51 with Unit 504 and one firefighter, and Tanker 57 with two firefighters to find the fire had broken containment and was spreading into the nearby woods.
At app. 7:10, TVFD responded back US90 at the Trinity River to resume searching. TVFD responded with Squad 51 with Unit 503, Unit 504, and one firefighter, towing the Rescue Boat.
At app. 11:25, TVFD was dispatched to CR2183 for a report of a brush fire. TVFD responded with Engine 52 with Unit 502, Booster 51 with one firefighter, and Tanker 57 with two firefighters to find app. 1/2-acre on fire caused by a brush pile. Liberty County Sheriff's Office issued a citation to the property owner for violating the burn ban.
At app. 15:25, TVFD was dispatched back to CR2183 for a report of a brush fire. TVFD responded with Engine 52 with Unit 502, Unit 501, Booster 51 with two firefighters, Tanker 57 with Unit 504 and one firefighter, and Tanker 51 with two firefighters to find the previous fire had rekindled and broken containment. With app. five acres on fire and spreading fast, mutual aid was requested from Cleveland, Cypress Lakes, North Liberty, and Shepherd VFDs, as well as a Texas Forest Service dozer, to assist in battling the blaze.
At app. 18:00, TVFD was dispatched to CR3011 for a report of a large forest fire. With most units still on the CR2183 fire, TVFD responded with Engine 51 with one firefighter, while Booster 51 with Unit 504 and two firefighters responded from CR2183. Mutual aid was requested from HWY321 VFD.
At app. 20:15, TVFD was dispatched to a report of a vehicle fire on CR2284-1. TVFD responded with Unit 501, Engine 51 with five firefighters, and Engine 52 with Unit 502 and one firefighter.
Saturday, April 16th - At app. 00:25, TVFD was dispatched to a report of a brush fire on CR2321. TVFD responded with Booster 51 with Unit 504 and two firefighters and Tanker 51 with Unit 502 and one firefighter.
At app. 16:35, TVFD was dispatched to a report of a brush fire on CR2176. TVFD responded with Unit 503, Engine 52 with Unit 502, Booster 51 with two firefighters, Tanker 57 with two firefighters, Tanker 51 with Unit 504 and one firefighter, and Squad 51 with one firefighter to find app 1-1/2 acres of heavy brush and woods on fire with flames as high as 25 feet and moving fast. Mutual aid was requested from Cleveland, Cypress Lakes, North Liberty, Splendora, and HWY321 VFDs to assist in battling the blaze.
At app. 19:20, TVFD was dispatched to mutual aid Liberty FD with a reported drowning on the Trinity River at US90. TVFD responded with Squad 51 with Unit 503, Unit 504, and three firefighters, towing the Rescue Boat.
At app. 20:00, TVFD was dispatched by to CR2176 for a report of a rekindle. TVFD responded with Engine 52 with Unit 502, Booster 51 with two firefighters, and Tanker 57 with two firefighters to find several small spot fires within the containment line.
Friday, April 15th - At app. 1:55, Tarkington firefighters were dispatched to a report of a MVA on SH105 app. one mile east of FM2518. TVFD responded with Unit 501, Unit 502, and Engine 51 with Unit 504 and one firefighter.
At app. 3:40, TVFD was dispatched to a report of a MVA on SH321 app. 1/4-mile south of CR2274. TVFD responded with Unit 501, Unit 502, Unit 503, and Engine 51 with Unit 504 and one firefighter.
Monday, April 11th - At app. 4:20, TVFD was dispatched to CR2269 for a lift assist. TVFD responded with Unit 502.
At app. 18:45, Tarkington First Responders were dispatched to CR2319. TVFD responded with Squad 51 with Unit 503 and two firefighters. The patient's injuries were severe enough to require transport by helicopter, so at app. 17:35 a tone went out to set up a LZ at Tarkington High School. In addition to Squad 51, TVFD responded with Unit 504, Engine 51 with three firefighters, and Booster 51 with one firefighter.
Sunday, April 10th - At app. 14:55, Tarkington VFD was dispatched to mutual aid Livingston VFD with a large fire at the Wonder Chemical plant just north of Livingston. TVFD responded with Tanker 51 with Unit 502 and Unit 504, Tanker 57 with Unit 503 and one firefighter, and Squad 51 with four firefighters. The plant manufacturers a variety of mulch products and several large mulch piles were on fire, in addition to several pieces of equipment. App. 28 area fire departments responded to the blaze. Saturday, April 9th - At app. 10:00, Tarkington First Responders were dispatched to the Little League ballpark across from Tarkington Primary School on FM163. TVFD responded with Squad 51 with one firefighter, Unit 502, and Unit 503. The patient's injuries were severe enough to require transport by helicopter to a Houston-area trauma center, so a LZ was set up at Tarkington High School, with a second tone bringing Engine 51 with Unit 502 and Booster 51 with one firefighter.
At app, 11:35, Tarkington First Responders were dispatched to CR2249. TVFD responded with Unit 503 and Squad 51 with one firefighter.
At app, 22:30, Tarkington First Responders were dispatched to SH321 at CR306. TVFD responded with Unit 503 and Unit 505.
Friday, April 8th - At app. 5:50, Tarkington firefighters were dispatched to a report of a MVA on SH321 at Cannon's Grocery. TVFD responded with Engine 51 with Unit 505 and three firefighters, Squad 51 with Unit 502, Unit 503, and Booster 51 with two firefighters to find a vehicle had crashed into a building.
At app. 7:45, TVFD was dispatched to a report of a MVA on SH321 at CR303. TVFD responded with Engine 51 with Unit 501 and two firefighters, Unit 502, Squad 51 with three firefighters, and Booster 51 with two firefighters to find a dump truck and an SUV involved, trapping the driver of the SUV in her vehicle. Firefighters had to use the vehicle extrication tools to cut the driver from her mangled vehicle. A LZ was set up at the accident scene to transport the driver by helicopter to a Houston-area trauma center. In addition, one of the fuel tanks on the dump truck ruptured, spilling app. 100 gallons of diesel fuel on the ground. The Liberty County HazMat team was called to help contain the leak.
Thursday, April 7th - At app. 9:00, TVFD was dispatched to a report of a brush fire on CR3011. TVFD responded with Booster 51 with Unit 501 and one firefighter and Tanker 57 with two firefighters to find three large brush piles on fire. Mutual aid was requested from Cleveland and HWY321 fire departments to extinguish the blaze.
Wednesday, April 6th - At app. 17:50, Tarkington firefighters were dispatched to a report of a MVA on FM163 at CR2268. TVFD responded with Unit 502, Unit 501, Squad 51 with two firefighters, and Booster 51 with two firefighters to find two vehicles involved in a head-on collision.
Tuesday, April 5th - At app. 20:35, Tarkington VFD was dispatched to a report of burn ban violation on CR2219. TVFD responded with Engine 52 with Unit 502.
Monday, April 4th - At app. 13:05, TVFD was dispatched to a report of a tree down on CR2285 at CR2286. TVFD responded with Booster 51 with one firefighter, but were unable to locate any tree on the road.
At app. 13:40, TVFD was dispatched to a report if a tree down on CR3141E. TVFD responded with Booster 51 with one firefighter.
At app. 17:50, TVFD was dispatched to mutual aid Cleveland and Splendora fire departments with a brush fire on East River Drive. TVFD responded with Tanker 57 with two firefighters.
