Friday, December 3, 2004- TVFD was called to the scene of a three-car accident on SH321 approximately 1/2 miles north of the intersection with SH105. TVFD responded with Booster 55, Engine 54, and a total of five firefighters.

Tuesday, November 23, 2004- Tarkington firefighters spent an eventful evening after high winds and several reported tornadoes ripped through the Tarkington area. TVFD was called on to remove many trees from area roadways. There were so many calls coming in that Liberty and Cleveland dispatchers were routing calls to the TVFD station which then dispatched the appropriate units. To make matters worse, the high winds tore down the Cleveland Fire Department radio tower, which is used to dispatch TVFD. Tarkington firefighters worked on over a dozen such calls, either removing the trees from the roadway or at least making the roadway passable. Tarkington VFD responded with Unit 503, Booster 55 with two firefighters, and Engine 54 with five firefighters, while Unit 501 and two firefighters were on standby at the station in case other calls came in. Unit 501 also handled all the dispatching duties. All units finally went back in-service at approximately 2:00AM Wednesday morning.
Thursday, November 11, 2004- TVFD was called to the scene of a two-vehicle accident on FM787 app. two miles west of the Trinity River Bridge involving a semi-truck and a Ford Taurus. The driver of the Taurus was trapped and had to be extricated, then was Life Flighted. Cleveland FD was called to clean up the diesel spill from the truck.
Friday, October 29, 2004- As the Horns' football game with Barbers Hill came to a close, the TVFD was called to the scene of a truck fire on Doc Howard Road. Responding to the call were Unit 503, Booster 55 with two firefighters, and Engine 54 with two firefighters. The first two units responded directly from the ballgame. Tarkington firefighters arrived on the scene to find a 2001 Ford F150 fully involved. The crew on Booster 55 made the initial attack and extinguished the fire using foam. Liberty County Fire Marshal Jim Wilson was called to the scene to investigate.
