Tuesday, October 26, 2004- Tarkington VFD was called to respond to an overturned tanker-truck at the intersection of SH105 and SH321. A Dupre trucking tanker had failed to negotiate the corner and overturned. Although carrying a hazardous substance, there were no leaks and no danger to the surrounding area. Texas Department of Transportation and Department of Public Safety were called to assist with traffic control, while a private hazardous materials team and wrecker service worked to offload the chemical and right the truck. TVFD was on the scene till 8:30 pm as the trailer was unloaded and the rig righted. Tarkington VFD responded with Unit 501 and Engine 54 with four firefighters.

Tuesday, October 26, 2004- Within minutes, TVFD was called to two different MVAs, one on FM787 involving a head-on collision and another on FM2518 involving a motorcycle. TVFD responded with Engine 54, Booster 55, and Rescue 51.
Saturdday, October 23rd- TVFD was called to the scene of a single-vehicle accident on Davis Hill Road approximately four miles east of FM2518. Tarkington firefighters arrived on the scene to find an adult female and three children injured. City of Cleveland EMS was called and responded with two ambulances to transport the injured. Tarkington VFD responded with Unit 502 and Engine 54 with two firefighters.
