Thursday, September 7th - At app. 9:45, TVFD was dispatched to a MVA on FM2518 at CR2252. TVFD responded with Booster 55 and one firefighter to find all of the occupants had self-extricated.
At app. 19:05, TVFD was dispatched to a possible rekindle of the structure fire from the previous morning. TVFD responded with Unit 504, Unit 502, and Engine 54 with three firefighters to find a small rekindle.
Wednesday, September 6th - At app. 3:55, Tarkington firefighters were dispatched to a report of a structure fire on CR2228. TVFD responded with Unit 501, Engine 54 with Unit 502 and three firefighters, and Engine 53 with Unit 504 and two firefighters to find an abandoned structure fully involved. Mutual aid was requested from Cleveland VFD, Splendora VFD, and North Libery County VFD to provide tankers for water shuttle. Liberty County Fire Marshal Jim Wilson was called to investigate the cause of the fire.
Sunday, September 3rd - At app. 4:50, Tarkington VFD was dispatched to a MVA on Rural Shade Road (CR2274) just off of SH321. TVFD responded with Unit 501 and Booster 55 with Unit 502 and one firefighter to find a Jeep Cherokee had rounded the curve on Rural Shade Road and ran off the road. The driver lost control and the vehicle flipped several times, coming to rest next to the church.
Saturday, September 2nd - At app. 9:55, Tarkington firefighters were dispatched to an MVA on SH321 at Alta Mae Ayers Road (CR2281) in front of Faith Tabernacle Pentacostal Church. Initial reports included three vehicles with entrapment, but prior to any units going enroute, reports came in that there had been a chain-reaction collision involving three additional vehicles and a pedestrian. TVFD responded with Engine 54 with Unit 502 and two firefighters, Booster 55 with Unit 505 and one firefighter, Rescue 51 with one firefighter, and Unit 503 to find three vehicles involved in the initial accident, two of which sustained heavy damage,one of which was overturned, with the occupants trapped in their vehicles. TVFD then requested mutual aid from Cleveland VFD and a helicopter transport from PHI SkyMed. Tarkington firefighters worked for several minutes extricating the victims from the twisted wreckage. As second helicopter was requested and both were landed at an LZ set up in the roadway next to the accident scene. Luckily, no one from the second accident was seriously injured, including the pedestrian.
At app. 17:10, TVFD was dispatched to a brush fire on FM1008 east of CR2323. TVFD responded with Booster 55 with two firefighters and Booster 52 with Unit 502 and one firefighter. Kenefick VFD also responded to the call.
Friday, September 1st - At app. 14:45, TVFD was dispatched to a MVA on SH321 at SH105. TVFD responded with Unit 504 and Booster 55 with Unit 503.
