Sunday, December 31, 2006 - At app. 15:20, TVFD was dispatched to a report of a fire alarm going off at Gene's Backhoe and Excavation on SH321. TVFD responded with Unit 502 but were disregarded prior to going on location.

Saturday, December 30th - Just as Tarkington firefighters were returning to their homes from the call on FM105 from late Friday night, they were dispatched to a report of a transformer explosion on SH321 near Doc Howard Road at 0:15. TVFD responded with Unit 502 and Engine 54 with Unit 503 and three firefighters to find a powerline down. TVFD units stayed on location until the arrival of Entergy personnel.
At app. 2:40, TVFD was dispatched a report of a MVA on CR2285 just past where the State maintenance for FM163 ends. TVFD responded with Unit 502, Engine 54 with Unit 503 and three firefighters, and Rescue 51 with Unit 504 to find a rollover involving a Dodge Ram 2500 pickup. The vehicle came to rest in several feet of water and the driver was not present. TVFD spent several frantic minutes trying to locate the driver until he was found at his residence.


Friday, December 29th - At app. 22:50, TVFD was dispatched to a report of a tree down on SH105 at CR2254. TVFD responded with Unit 502 and Booster 55 with Unit 503 and one firefighter. Cypress Lakes VFD also responded to the call.
Thursday, December 28th - At app. 17:40, Tarkington VFD was dispatched to a report of a hunting cabin on fire on CR2186. TVFD responded with Unit 502 and Engine 54 with two firefighters and Tanker 57 with two firefighters to find the cabin beyond salvage. Firefighters did manage to save a nearby travel trailer. North Liberty County VFD also responded to the call.



At app. 18:10, while units were still responding to the cabin fire, TVFD was dispatched to a MVA on SH321 at CR308. TVFD responded with Booster 55 with Unit 503 and one firefighter.
