Wednesday, September 22, 2004- Tarkington VFD was responded to a building fire on Neville's Ferry Road. TVFD responded with Engine 54.
Friday, September 17, 2004- Tarkington firefighters were called to the scene of a major accident on Tree Monkey Road. A Dodge Dakota had failed to make a curve and went into the woods, striking a tree. Three children, ages 2, 4, and 9, were transported by two LifeFlight helicopters to the hospital. Tarkington VFD set up the landing zone for the helicopters at the intersection of FM787 and FM223 in Dolen.
Saturday, August 14, 2004- Tarkington Fire Department and Tarkington First Responders responded to a single-vehicle MVA roll-over in a field on Davis Hill Road between SH321 and SH105. Engine 54 responded with three firefighters and Booster 55 responded with two firefighters.
