Friday, January 28, 2005- TVFD was called out early on Friday morning to a report of an auto accident on FM1008. TVFD responded with Unit 502 and Engine 54 with a total of four firefighters. Tarkington firefighters arrived to find a Ford Escort had left the roadway, struck a fence, then a tree, before settling in a citizen's yard. City of Cleveland EMS was called, but all occupants of the Escort refused transport.

Wednesday, January 26, 2005- Tarkington Fire Department was called to set up a landing zone for LifeFlight at Cypress Lakes. TVFD responded with Unit 502, Engine 54 with two firefighters, and Booster 55with two firefighters. Sunday, January 23, 2005- Tarkington firefighters were called out early Sunday morning to the scene of a single-vehicle MVA on SH321 app. one mile south of FM1008. TVFD responded with Unit 502 and Engine 54 with three firefighters.

Saturday, January 22, 2005- Tarkington firefighters were called to a reported grass fire on SH321 app. one mile north of SH105. TVFD responded with Unit 502, Booster 55, Booster 53, and Tanker 57 with a total of five firefighters, arriving to find that the fire was a controlled burn.
Friday, January 21, 2005- Tarkington VFD was dispatched to a car fire on FM2518. TVFD responded with Unit 501 and Engine 54 with three firefighters. TVFD was also called out later in the day to set up a landing zone for LifeFlight at FM787 and FM2518. TVFD responded with Unit 501 and Engine 54 and a total of four firefighters.
Monday, January 17, 2005- TVFD was called to the scene of an vehicle accident on FM787 near the entrance to the Georgia Pacific plant. TVFD responded with Unit 501 and Engine 54 with three firefighters, arriving to find a DHL delivery van had struck the rear of a tractor-trailer rig carrying lumber. The driver of the DHL van was transported to the hospital by City of Cleveland EMS. TVFD washed down the roadway to remove vehicle fluids left by the van and assisted in traffic control, as well as assisting in removing the tractor-trailer rig from the roadway.
Sunday, January 16, 2005- Tarkington firefighters were called to set up a landing zone for the LifeFlight helicopter at the intersection of FM2518 and FM787. City of Cleveland EMS had called for LifeFlight to transport a patient that had been found unconscious and unresponsive in the parking lot of The Shade Grocery. Tarkington responded with Engine 54 with two firefighters. Cleveland VFD provided mutual aid on the call.
