Sunday, August 21, 2005- TVFD started the day early when the First Responders were dispatched at 4:45 to assist City of Cleveland EMS with a CPR in progress at Cypress Lakes. TVFD responded with Unit 502 and Rescue 51 with two firefighters.
At app. 11:00, TVFD was dispatched to a report of a propane leak on FM787 app. one mile east of FM223. TVFD responded with Engine 54 with four firefighters to find that the leak had already been repaired.
At app. 15:45, Tarkington firefighters were called to a brush fire on CR301S. TVFD responded with Booster 55 with two firefighters, Tanker 57 with two firefighters, and Rescue 51 with one firefighter to find the fire threatening to spread into the woods. TVFD worked quickly to extinguish the fire before this occurred.
At app. 23:30, Tarkington First Responders were called to a report of a possible overdose on CR2292. TVFD responded with Unit 502, Unit 504, and Rescue 51 with two firefighters.
Friday, August 19th- At app. 13:45, Tarkington First Responders were dispatched to a report of a 29-year old male with a head injury. TVFD responded with Unit 503 and Rescue 51 with two firefighters to find the patient had injuries severe enough to require transport by medical helicopter. TVFD was then dispatched to set up a LZ at the intersection of SH105 and FM2518. TVFD responded with Booster 55 with one firefighter along with the units that had made the initial medical call.
Thursday, August 18th- At app. 5:45, Tarkington First Responders were dispatched to a possible suicide. TVFD responded with Unit 503.
At app. 11:00, Tarkington First Responders were dispatched back to the location of the possible suicide for a report of a female having seizures. TVFD responded with Unit 503 and Rescue 51 with one firefighter.
At app. 13:15, Tarkington VFD was dispatched to a report of a tree on fire on FM787 just east of CR2184. TVFD responded with Booster 55 with two firefighters to find a dispute occuring between two neighbors concerning a burning trash fire. TVFD requested assistance from Liberty County Sheriff's Office, who advised TVFD to extinguish the fire. Tanker 57 with two firefighters was then dispatched to the location to assist.
Sunday, August 14th- At app. 15:45, Tarkington First Responders were dispatched to a report of a 14-year old female involved in a four-wheeler accident on CR2301. TVFD responded with Unit 502 and Rescue 51 with two firefighters to find the patient had injuries severe enough to require transport by medical helicopter. TVFD was then dispatched to set up a LZ at the intersection of SH321 and FM1008. TVFD responded with Engine 54 with three firefighters along with the units that had made the initial medical call.
At app. 17:30, TVFD was dispatched for a washdown on SH105 near SH321. TVFD responded with Unit 502 and Booster 55 with two firefighters to find a bag of drilling gel had fallen onto the roadway. TVFD removed the hazard and provided traffic control.
Saturday, August 13th- At app. 19:00, Tarkington VFD was dispatched to a mobile home fire on CR2184 just off of FM787. TVFD responded with Engine 54 with three firefighters, Tanker 57 with one firefighter, and Booster 55 with two firefighters. Cleveland VFD provided mutual aid on the call, arriving before the TVFD units.
